Twilight ran towards the doors with excitement. She hadn’t needed to send the letter she planned to after all. Her mentor had arrived and-
The doors to the throne room slammed open and nearly ripped them from their hinges. Celestia stood in the doorway. Her wings flared behind her. Light poured around her in a blinding silhouette. The entire throne room lit up in her presence.
Twilight collapsed to her hooves. She was overwhelmed by the sight of her mentor. She also felt something. A wave of determination and power that she’d only felt once before. In Canterlot. During the wedding.
